ERASMUS
Outgoing students
Overview
Have you ever wished to live, study or even work abroad? Have you ever wanted to get to know a different culture, meet new friends, learn another language, all at the same time?
Then ERASMUS may be what you are looking for!
The ERASMUS program offers the possibility of studying and/or completing an internship in another European country for a period of a semester or the whole academic year.
You may receive a grant for studies as well as for internship! And you won't have to pay university fees abroad! In addition, your studies as well as work abroad will be recognized at LCC. All your rights, as well as your obligations, as an ERASMUS student are written down in the
ERASMUS Student Charter which is given to you before leaving for your study/placement period abroad.
An important part of your ERASMUS study period is the Learning/Placement Agreement. It sets out the program of studies/placement which you will follow abroad as well as the confirmation of academic achievement protocol and must be agreed in writing between LCC, your host institution and yourself. Any changes to that Agreement should be agreed in writing by all three parties. If you comply with the requirements of the Learning/Placement Agreement then recognition of your study period abroad by LCC is assured.
In addition, you can improve your language skills by participating in one of the
Erasmus Intensive Language Courses (EILCs) offered at host universities!
Who can participate in ERASMUS?
To participate in the ERASMUS programme, you must fulfill the following conditions:
- You have completed at least the first year of studies.
- You are a citizen of one the participating countries (or are recognized as having an official status of refugee or stateless person or permanent resident).
- Meet certain criteria set for exchange programs, e.g. GPA requirement (contact institutional coordinator for more information)
