Mission Statement
The Office of Intercultural Programs supports and advocates for the unique needs of LCC’s international students and is dedicated to creating an intercultural community characterized by intentional cultural discourse, awareness, and respect in order to develop informed global citizens.
LCC International University is an international learning community, with students representing 21 different countries, including Albania, Australia, Belarus, Canada, Congo, Ghana, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Nigeria, Poland, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Thailand, Ukraine, and United States.
Living and studying in this diverse environment provides the maximum opportunity for students to learn about themselves and their world. Interacting with peers from other parts of the world challenges perceptions and exposes stereotypes. Studying at LCC enables students to experience a taste of the richness of global culture while planting roots in one community.
The Office of Intercultural Programs provides the programs and events for students to explore the different cultures represented on campus. Intercultural Programs is housed within the Community Life Department and the Student Life Division at LCC. The staff are here to assist in your transition and to provide educational programming to the LCC community as well as the Klaipeda region. There are seven student leaders who are willing and able to answer questions or give advice to prospective and new students. The office is located in Neumann Hall- offices West 109.
