LCC-FUNDED AWARDS
It is our desire to provide financial assistance to students with demonstrated need, within the limits of our resources. Currently around 47% of all students receive financial assistance of some sort.
LCC financial grant is awarded to students based on their financial
need. Financial need is determined by evaluating the financial situation of the student
and their family. Students must submit the financial aid application form and other necessary
supporting documents in order to be considered for LCC financial grant.
For the 2006-07 academic year the average financial grant awarded ranged from 1,000
- 8,000 LTL per recipient, depending on need and availability of funds.
We select financial grant recipients according to the following criteria:
Prospective Students:
Full tuition is awarded to four second year students who have a cumulative GPA of at least
9.2 and demonstrate leadership skills. Priority will be given to students who
contribute to college life or the community.
GPA and leadership performance is reviewed annually for the student to maintain
the scholarship in their subsequent years.
50% tuition is awarded to six students (two from each year – second, third
and fourth) with the highest GPAs from the previous year, unless they have received
another financial grant.
Students that study at LCC together with their brother or sister are eligible
for a sibling grant. The sibling grant is a 10% discount on the annual tuition
for each sibling while they are studying at LCC the same time.

Once you are an LCC student you or your parents can apply for a tax refund based
on the amount you are paying for university education. Since you are only able
to request a refund for one semester during your first year of studies, this

during your first year your refund could be up to 1,700 LTL. For more information
on the tax credit visit www.vmi.lt.
You are also able to apply for loans for living expenses from the government
