Jane Holslag, an English department instructor, shares her perspective on English:
“ Students at LCC have the chance of a life-time! They have native speakers for most of their classes; just as important, the English core courses provide all students with a foundation for reading, writing and speaking. As a teacher of literature, I particularly enjoy watching students develop their critical reading, thinking, writing and speaking skills in English. Through class lectures and discussions, the varied worlds of literature are opened in new ways, and the words come alive!”
